Yoichi single malt from Japan. Distilled 1989-10-10, and bottled 2005-07-29. This is an old, classic release. I just had to share my experience.

Nose: Vintage candy floss, sweet vanilla, marshmallows and vanilla ice cream create a wonderfully nostalgic opening. With time, strawberries and ripe, juicy red apples bring freshness and depth.

Taste: Full bodied and wonderfully intense. Sugary sweetness and exuberant fruitiness are delivered in equal measure. Remarkably, it feels both light and weighty, dry and juicy, all at once.

Finish: Long. Honey-glazed apples, Christmas spices and dried fruits carry the whisky home. The finish becomes lighter and more playful, yet remains exquisitely delicate and complex, dancing across the tongue.

Comment: Exquisite, vibrant and utterly captivating.
