Yellow Spot is special in that it contains whiskey that has been matured for a full 12 year period in three oak cask types: American bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry butts, and uniquely, Spanish Malaga casks.

The Yellow Spot 12 YO Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey will be available to buy in Norway next week at NOK 759 (8256101).

Nose: Soft and appealing nose which starts off with tropical fruits and honey. Then follows soft spiciness in the guise of black pepper and nutmeg. With time also caramel, vanilla and a hint of perfume.

Taste: Full bodied and creamy. The soft spiciness from the nose is here as well, accompanied by orchard fruits and toasted oak.

Finish: Medium long finish. Added notes of chocolate and honey towards the end.
