A single malt Japanese whisky produced by Sakurao Distillery, located in Hatsukaichi in Hiroshima Prefecture. Sakurao Distillery started production in 2017, and launched this product in 2021. The company owning the distillery, the Sakurao Brewery and Distillery Co., Ltd. was established in 1918 (then named Chugoku Shurui Jozo), and obtained a license to produce whisky in 1920.
This whisky was aged in an old railway tunnel in Togouchi, just outside the town of Akiota, also in Hiroshima Prefecture. This railway tunnel is about an hours drive from the distillery.

Nose: Light and welcoming with gentle orchard fruits. A malty and earthy undertone lends depth and warmth, evoking an unmistakable autumnal atmosphere.
Taste: Medium to light body. Sweet, fruity and gently oaked. Hints of white pepper and soft vanilla.
Finish: Medium long. Clean, bright fruitiness lingers, maintaining the whisky’s lightness.
Comment: Autumnal charm.
