A single malt Japanese whisky produced by Sakurao Distillery, located in Hatsukaichi in Hiroshima Prefecture. Aged at the distillery, near the Seto Inland Sea.

The Sakura Single Malt is available in Norway at NOK 1103 (19735301).

Nose: Mild and restrained at first, gradually revealing soft tropical fruits. Vanilla and damp oak emerge with time, joined by a fleeting touch of citrus.

Taste: Light-bodied with gentle sweetness. Notes of white pepper, rowan berries and earthy vanilla interplay over a subtle fruity foundation.

Finish: Medium to short. Drying and less sweet, with toasted oak tones and a faint trace of cold ashes towards the end.

Comment: Subtle and quiet.
