This is a single malt distilled at Bushmills, Northern Ireland. It was distilled 2001-10-16, matured in a single 1st fill ex-bourbon barrel, and then bottled 2018. Limited to 222 bottles.

The labels carries the following tasting notes:

“A lively nose with pin-sharp fruitiness, understated spice and a palate that delivers serious complexity; medicine and fruits mingle freely.”

Nose: Tropical fruits abound. Vanilla and a citrus twist. Cereal served with porridge on the side. With time creamy vanilla, honey and perhaps even mead.

Taste: Full bodied. Fruity, juicy and fresh. Tons of tropical fruits here; banana and mango are the standouts. White pepper and hints of pencil shavings in the background.

Finish: Medium to long finish. More of the intense tropical fruits and the undercurrent of mild oakiness.

Comment: Very, very nice!
