This Danish single malt was made by Sall Whisky. Distilled 2022-02-18, matured in a virgin French oak cask, and bottled 2025-08-15. This whisky was made using Vienna malt.
This whisky is part of a five-bottle set, A Taste of Denmark, bottled for http://Whiskybaren.dk in Denmark. A total of 78 sets were made, priced at 3500 DKK for the full 5 x 50cl set.
Nose: Soft and rich with an array of fresh and dried spices and herbs. Complex and layered, yet hard to pin down specifically. Warm and welcoming throughout, gaining dried fruits and toasted oak with time.
Taste: Full bodied and remarkably drinkable at its high ABV. A gentle, intricate mix of herbal and spicy notes, carnation or cloves alongside cinnamon, delivered with smooth depth.
Finish: Long and consistent. The rich, rewarding spiciness continues, now joined by juicy dried fruits and a touch of citrus. Sweet licorice rounds off the finale.
Comment: Deep spice with elegant warmth.
