Here is a Danish whisky, made by Thy Whisky. Distilled 2022-02-08, initially matured in virgin oak, then moved to an ex-bourbon cask 2024-11-20, and bottled 2025-08-14. The mash bill for this whisky is rye, barley and spelt.

This whisky is part of a five-bottle set, A Taste of Denmark, bottled for Whiskybaren.dk in Denmark. A total of 78 sets were made, priced at 3500 DKK for the full 5 x 50cl set.

Nose: Barley and black pepper up front, joined by earthy cinnamon and coconut. Creamy vanilla and chocolate milkshake add richness, while toasted oak emerges gradually with time.

Taste: Full bodied and impressively smooth for the high ABV. Creamy vanilla and warm spice, mainly pepper and cinnamon, lead the way, supported by toasted oak edging toward light sootiness.

Finish: Medium long. Warm, rich and creamy with persistent spice. Tropical fruits linger quietly in the background.

Comment: Creamy spice with polished power.
