Sall Tørv 2.2, 3 YO, 61.5%

The time has come for another peated (tørv in Danish) release from Sall Whisky Distillery, Denmark. Initially matured for three years in 55L ex-bourbon octaves, then finished for one month in a 2nd fill ex-px sherry cask. Limited to 105 bottles.

Nose: Buttered toast, malted barley, soot and wood smoke. With time also nuts and earthy vanilla.

Taste: Full bodied. Spicy with notes of black and white pepper. Then soot, ashes and wood smoke. Creamy and rich notes of malt and vanilla. Honey and dried fruits in the background.

Finish: Medium long finish. Remains creamy and rich all the way. Pepper and smokiness gives it a dryish character. Sugary sweet with a minty touch in the end.
