Nose: Earthy vanilla and mustard seeds ( I really do love the warm aroma of mustard seeds). Then whiffs of red berries, cinnamon and tropical fruits. With further time mellow and laid back notes of mango and pineapple covered in luxurious whipped cream.
Taste: Full bodied. This is one of the spicy ex-bourbon matured whiskies. Dryish in character. White pepper, earthy and bone dry vanilla sticks. Hints of dark chocolate with bits of dried oranges.
Finish: Medium long finish. Remains rich, creamy and fruity. Dryish in character still. White pepper and hints of toasted oak provides contrast to the light and sweet notes of tropical fruits covered with whipped cream (yes, I do mean the real stuff, not that boring “aerosol cream”).
