A new product from Springbank. This Longrow 100 Proof was initially matured for close to four years in refill ex-bourbon casks, then received a finish for more than two years in refill ex-Pinot Noir casks. This is batch No.1 with bottle code 25/01, bottled 2025-01-06.
The Longrow 100 Proof will be available in Norway from November 13 at NOK 1159 (20042301).
Nose: Intense wood smoke dominates, an entire forest ablaze. Malty depth beneath the smoke, with emerging notes of nuts and red berries.
Taste: Full bodied and ferocious. Massive peat and hot pepper crash together with soot, engine oil, barbecue smoke and streaks of smoked bacon.
Finish: Medium long. Heavy and gritty at first, then softening into leathery richness as the pepper fades.
Comment: Raw power with smoky swagger.
