Kyrö Malt Oloroso

Kyrö Malt Oloroso, 3 YO, 47.2%

This is a young rye malt from Kyrö Distillery, matured in three barrel types: new American oak, ex-bourbon and Spanish Oloroso sherry.

The Kyrö Malt Oloroso goes on sale in Norway in a few days at NOK 700 (19698702).

Nose: Deep and sweet notes of rye and pepper. Then soft and appealing notes of dried fruits. Well integrated alcohol. With time also a hint of tropical fruits.

Taste: Full bodied and rich. Quite the fruity character, with added playful notes of pepper and rye bread.

Finish: Medium long finish. Increasing notes of caramel. Mild oakiness. Then a mix of sweet licorice and citrus in the end.

Comment: Charming!
