This Jura is released by independent bottler Cane and Grain. Distilled 2008-07-11, matured in undisclosed casks, and then finished in a single ex-Marsala barrique (cask #3335). Limited to 271 bottles.

The Jura Marsala Barrique 17 YO (Cane and Grain) will be available in Norway November 13 at NOK 1541 (19859801).

Nose: Shy at first, gradually revealing deep fruitiness and gentle spice. Subtle and understated.

Taste: Medium bodied, dry and somewhat restrained. Dried fruits and light caramel provide quiet sweetness.

Finish: Medium. Dry and mildly oaky with lingering dried fruits, though still rather subdued overall.

Comment: Pleasant, but lacking nerve.
