This single malt whisky from Hinrichsen’s Farm Distillery in Germany was bottled 2024. Matured in a combination of virgin American oak, ex-vermouth, ex-PX sherry casks. Produced using spring barley (Avalon). This release is limited to 3139 bottles.

The Hinrichsen’s Farm Distillery is located on the island of Föhr, and they are the proud producers of single estate, certified organic, single malt whisky.

Nose: Caramel, honey, dried fruits and chocolate covered marzipan. Lots of sweet treats in other words. With time more nutty and the vanilla notes are more earthy and warm.

Taste: Full bodied and rather intense - or should I say insistent. Very concentrated flavors. Lots of (slightly burnt) caramel. Accompanied by dark chocolate covered marzipan, and dried fruits.

Finish: Medium long finish. More vanilla, more chocolate and more dark caramel.

Comment: Moody and brooding in a charming way.
