Matured in first fill ex-bourbon barrels and finished for 8 months in ex-demerara rum casks (Diamond Distillery). The subtitle on the label is “rich & exotic”.

Nose: Ripe banana leads with a mix of tropical fruits. A faint whiff of smoke sits over malt and caramel. With time, toasted oak appears and the caramel takes on a lightly burnt edge.

Taste: Medium bodied. Light smoke carries soft spice; white pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. Ginger and caramel round it out.

Finish: Medium long. Malt and creamy caramel linger alongside ripe tropical fruits and vanilla.

Comment: Tropical sweetness with gentle spice.
