Matured in 1st fill ex-bourbon barrels. The subtitle on the front label is “sea spray and gentle smoke”.

Nose: Mild vanilla and orchard fruits, with a faint suggestion of smoke. White pepper emerges with time.

Taste: Light bodied. White pepper leads, joined by a pinch of soot and subtle wood smoke. Pencil shavings and a touch of black pepper add edge.

Finish: Medium long. Shifts into a softer register with vanilla and caramel milkshake, and a hint of brininess.

Comment: Light smoke with peppery edge.
