This Danish single malt whisky, from Fary Lochan, was distilled 2019-08-15, matured in a 1st fill ex-bourbon and a 2nd fill ex-Oloroso sherry hogshead, and then bottled 2025-03-27. This is a nettle smoked whisky, a unique style from Fary Lochan.

You can still buy the Fary Lochan Smoke & Sherry #4 (20 cl) from the distillery at DKK 295.

Nose: Warm and smoky with floral honey at the core. Rich maltiness supports layers of earthy vanilla, cinnamon and dried fruits that unfold over time.

Taste: Medium bodied with gentle spice and dried fruit notes. Slightly dry, showing toasted oak and a faint hint of rowan berries.

Finish: Medium long. Licorice and caramel take charge, softening into milk chocolate as the fruity tones fade.

Comment: Warm malt with smoky sweetness.
