Here’s a fresh release from Norway’s only independent bottler, Single Malt Dreams. This is a Caol Ila distilled in December 2008, and bottled July 2025. Iinitally matured in a hogshead, before receiving a finish in a single American oak ex-rye barrel. Limited to 120 bottles.

Nose: Malty and richly fruity with gentle peat smoke and earthy vanilla-cinnamon depth. Over time, sweetness builds—sugary fruits, tropical hints and a bright touch of citrus.

Taste: Full bodied and deeply comforting. Minty vanilla, mellow peat and sugary fruits blend seamlessly with soft, earthy spice.

Finish: Medium to long. Orchard fruits and fresh citrus linger over maritime peat smoke. Subtle toasted oak and pencil shavings round off a beautifully composed close.

Comment: Harmonious peat wrapped in sweetness.
