This is the first batch of the second core range whisky from Fary Lochan. The Fary Lochan Sæson 2 is released in small batches, this first batch composed of three casks. Two 1st fill ex-bourbon barrels and one 2nd fill ex-Oloroso sherry hogshead. Limited to 1014 bottles. This is a nettle smoked whisky, a unique style from this Danish distillery.

You can get your hands on a (70 cl) bottle of the Fary Lochan Sæson 2 straight from the distillery at DKK 650.

Nose: Earthy and rugged with smoky vanilla, dried fruits and a whiff of summer flowers smouldering in the distance.

Taste: Medium bodied and distinctly dry. Soot and wood smoke dominate, underpinned by licorice, vanilla and the scent of burning grass.

Finish: Medium long. The dryness persists, joined by dried fruits, white and black pepper, soot and dark smoke. Hints of cut grass, cool mint and milk chocolate round off the experience.

Comment: Dry, smoky and intriguingly complex.
