Independent bottler Adelphi bring us this young Clynelish, matured in a single refill ex-Oloroso sherry butt (cask #51256). Limited to 477 bottles.

The Clynelish 2015 9 YO (Adelphi) will be available in Norway shortly at NOK 1306 (20395001).

Nose: Rowan berries and ripe orchard fruits lead the way, joined by a waxy apple note. Big and rich in character. With time, malt, citrus and caramel add further depth.

Taste: Full bodied with a pinch of chili and white pepper. Slightly dry at first, then opening into tingling sweetness with sugar-coated dried orchard fruits, apples and pears in particular.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Rich, creamy and fruity with growing sweetness. Ends on a fresh green note of cut grass.

Comment: Fruity richness with green lift.
