This single malt from Chichibu is composed of 15 casks, all matured for 6-7 years; 12 ex-bourbon barrels, Bourbon barrels, 2 Chibidaru quarter casks, and 1 ex-red wine cask.
The Chichibu Paris Edition 2024 goes on sale in Norway next week at NOK 5175 (19241001).
Nose: The nose reveals mild and soft notes of strawberries and other red berries, complemented by hints of vanilla fluff and icing sugar. Light honey and candy wax provide a delicate sweetness, with an intriguing undertone reminiscent of pencil shavings.
Taste: We are treated to a full-bodied experience, characterized by very complex and layered flavors. Notes of spices and fruits emerge - wave after wave. Complemented by a textured mouthfeel that is both gritty and creamy at the same time (huh?).
Finish: Medium to long finish, Still creamy, with more notes of vanilla and strawberries. Chewing gum with a 1980s vibe in the end.
