This is an independent bottling from Wemyss Malts. A 28 year old Bunnahabhain that has been fully matured in a single ex-sherry hogshead.

The Bunnahabhain 1990 28 YO Boat Captain’s Brew goes on sale on Monday here in Norway, and it will sell at NOK 2700 (13802101).

Nose: Orchard fruits, hints of green herbs. A pinch of salt in the background.

Taste: Full bodied. Peppery, rich and creamy. The fruitiness is well balanced. Hints of oak and vanilla in the background.

Finish: Long finish. Lovely balanced between the spices, the sweet fruits and tempered oakiness.

Comment: It’s great, no doubt.
