The Caol Ila 2011 10 YO Parcel No. 7 goes on sale in Norway this coming Monday at NOK 940 (13801801).

Nose: A big, feisty and smoky nose. Just the way I like a young Islay. Medicinal and maritime. Hints of green herbs.

Taste: Rich and full of body. Sugary sweet and rather briny. Very sweet in fact. Vanilla and green herbs.

Finish: Medium long finish. Not much further development, but what it does it does very well.

Comment: A classic Caol Ila in my book. Love this!
