The Breath of Speyside is a Glenfarclas under cover, from independent bottler Adelphi. This whisky was distilled 2009, matured in undisclosed casks, and bottled 2025. Limited to 677 bottles.

The Breath of Speyside 2009 (Adelphi) will go on sale in Norway November 13 at NOK 2025 (20044001).

Nose: Initially reserved, then opening to dried fruits and rich fudge. Vanilla and red fruits emerge gradually.

Taste: Full bodied and rounded. Dried fruits and caramel lead the way, supported by soft oak tones and a touch of chocolate.

Finish: Long and engaging. White pepper adds sparkle, joined by exotic spices before fading into chocolate and dried fruits.

Comment: Spiced fruit with smooth sweetness.
