Ardnamurchan AD/ Mezcal Cask Release

Ardnamurchan AD/ Mezcal Cask Release, 7 YO, 55%

Here is what they say on the official product page over at Ardnamurchan HQ:

“This recipe uses only 2017 peated spirit matured in Bourbon casks for six years, before being finished in Mezcal casks for over eighteen months.”

Limited to 4968 bottles - well, unless there will be more batches.

The Ardnamurchan AD/ Mezcal Cask Release is priced at NOK 1000 (19406701) here in Norway.

Nose: Warm notes of wood smoke with a tint of green - herbs or cut grass. Soft malt with and mild spiciness. Chilled riesling white wine in the shade on a lazy summer afternoon. Earthy and creamy.

Taste: Full bodied and creamy in character. Lively! Spices, fresh fruits and green herbal notes. There is a whole lot going on, but there is structure and method to this. Salt and pepper, mint, eucalyptus, basil and cut grass. Creamy vanilla.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Remains creamy and rich all the way. The peat and smoke is very well integrated. Green, earthy, fruity and just warming.

Comment: Yummy!
