Stauning 10 YO (20th Anniversary bottling)
Stauning 10 YO (20th Anniversary bottling), 50.02 %
This anniversary release is a peat smoked single malt, composed of 50 % unpeated and 50 % peated single malt. Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, virgin oak, ex-port and ex-sherry casks. Limited to 2005 bottles and launched on 2025-12-05.
Nose: Dark and sweet, with caramel and red berries up front. Soft heather and herbal notes add an earthy dimension.
Taste: Full bodied. Red berries and dried fruits mingle with malt and a touch of oakiness. Nougat and white pepper add richness and spice, with subtle herbal notes underneath.
Finish: Medium long. Still sweet and fruity, but increasingly herbal with an added vegetal touch. Mild spiciness develops alongside milk chocolate, before a fresh hint of mint marks the end.
Comment: Dark fruit with herbal complexity.
