This is the third release in the Springbank Sherry series. Launched 2024 this whisky was initially matured for five years in refill ex-bourbon casks, then received a further five years of maturation in fresh ex-Amontillado sherry casks.

The Springbank 10 YO Amontillado Cask Matured will be available to buy in Norway shortly at NOK 1160 (20185101).

Nose: Rich and fruity with a complex interplay of dried fruits and ripe tropical fruits. Cigar box, leather, cinnamon and earthy vanilla develop gradually, adding depth and intrigue.

Taste: Full bodied and substantial. Big and rich yet not overly sweet, almost dry in style. Ripe orchard fruits dominate the palate.

Finish: Medium to long. Darker tones emerge; dried fruits, chocolate and forest floor with wet leaves. Think gingerbread house in Mirkwood, with plenty of cinnamon in the end.

Comment: Dark fruit and spice adventure.
