Nose: Peppery and smoky up front, with a clear rum cask influence. Deeply sweet, carrying touches of tropical fruit and demerara sugar. With time, the spiciness builds gently, while the nose turns richer and creamier.

Taste: Medium body. The spices are even more pronounced now, accompanied by sweet, tropical fruitiness. A pinch of salt sits quietly in the background, giving the sweetness a nice little counterpoint.

Finish: Medium long finish. Smoky all the way, but also sweet, fresh and juicy. Sweet liquorice and citrus appear towards the end, adding a lively final lift.

Comment: Rum, smoke and tropical swagger.
