Sall Tørv 2.3

Sall Tørv 2.3, 3 YO, 52.5 %

This is the third release in the Tørv Series from Sall Whisky in Denmark. Tørv is Danish for peat. This whisky was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-Oloroso and ex-PX sherry casks. Limited to a total of 445 bottles, so we are talking small casks. The Sall Tørv 2.3 was released last year and is now sold out. You can however still buy the latest Sall Tørv 2.4.

Nose: Light, fruity and almost juicy, with dried fruits woven through gentle wood smoke. Sourdough crust adds character, while a creamy, almost buttery texture develops. With time, notes of nuts, vanilla and malt emerge.

Taste: Full bodied, rich and fruit-forward. Less peaty than its predecessors, with a notably tempered and well-mannered profile. Dried fruits, soot and wood smoke mingle with a creamy, smoky vanilla milkshake note.

Finish: Medium long. Green herbal notes of mint and menthol gradually appear, while dried fruits and rich wood smoke remain firmly in place.

Comment: Refined smoke with creamy fruit.
