Redbreast 12 YO Cask Strength (B1/24)

Redbreast 12 YO Cask Strength (B1/24), 57.5%

It has been a while since I last reviewed a batch of the Redbreast 12 YO Cask Strength, so here we go. This is batch B1/24, and typically there will be one or two batches annually. This single pot still whiskey is produced by Midleton Distillery in Cork, Ireland.

The Redbreast 12 YO Cask Strength Batch B1/24, is available to buy in Norway at NOK 999 (12313201).

Nose: Dried fruits, malt, and earthy hints of vanilla create a rich foundation. Fresh strawberries and flaky white chocolate add sweetness. Over time, tropical fruits, leather, and cinnamon emerge.

Taste: More than full bodied. Indulge in a milkshake that transcends the ordinary. Imagine a rich strawberry vanilla blend. Each sip is enhanced with a generous dollop of whipped cream, finished with a drizzle of honey and caramel.

Finish: The finish is medium to long, characterized by a rich and pleasantly sweet profile. As it unfolds, a deeper fruitiness emerges, showcasing both ripe, juicy orchard fruits and hints of dried fruits. The experience concludes with a gentle minty and herbal note.

Comment: I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again - I will never grow tired of the Redbreast 12 YO Cask Strength!
