Mars Komagatake Tsunuki Aging - Hojo Selection 2018, 44 %

Distilled March 2015, and bottled October 2018. It was aged at the warehouses located at Tsunuki, in a single umeshu (Japanese plum liqueur) cask. The cask was an American white oak puncheon (cask #5154).

Nose: Fruity, with plums and apples. Hints of vanilla and tropical fruits.

Taste: Medium body. Sweet and fruity. Plums, almonds, and white pepper. Some bitter orange and chocolate as well.

Finish: Medium to short finish. Not a whole lot of further devlopment, it remains soft and fruity.

Comment: Cool stuff, especially if you like plums.
