From the Loch Lomond Distillery, in the Highland region. The Inchmurrin Madeira Wood Finish has been matured in American oak barrels, and then finished in Madeira wine casks.

You can buy the Inchmurrin Madeira Wood Finish in the UK at around GBP 50. I have heard rumours that it might be released in Norway later this year.

Nose: Dusty fruitiness. Red berries, grape juice, fortified wine, vanilla, and soft green notes in the background.

Taste: Full bodied. Lots of chocolate confectionary with red berry filling. White pepper. Creamy vanilla. More chocolate.

Finish: Medium long finish. Orchard fruits, white pepper, mild ginger, vanilla. Somewhat oaky and green in the end, with a bitter-ish side note.

Comment: Kept me wondering and on my toes, which is appreciated!

Score 83/100
