It is rather rare to see single malts from the Speyside distillery Inchgower. Here we have an expression from the independent bottler Adelphi. This whisky was distilled in 2007, matured in an ex-oloroso sherry butt (cask #801246), and bottled in 2020. The total outturn was 561 bottles. .

You can buy the Inchgower 2007 12 YO (Adelphi Selection) in Norway starting June 4 at NOK 1515 (1970401).

Nose: Light and fruity at first. Not particularly complex or outspoken. With time it comes across as a bit heavier in style.

Taste: Medium body. Even more fruity on the palate. Lots and lots of apples. A hint of vegetable and meat broth. Ginger, cinnamon and toasted almonds.

Finish: Medium long finish. Sugary sweet now. With cinnamon and simple syrup. A bit dry.

Comment: It is fine, and balanced. Just not very rewarding.
