I must admit I do have a soft spot for Glengoyne. They have a tendency to produce great quality whisky. Today I will review a release from independent bottler That Boutique/y Whisky Company. The Glengoyne 19 YO Batch 2 (TBWC) is a limited release of just 1009 bottles (50 cl).

You can buy the Glengoyne 19 YO Batch 2 (TBWC) in the UK at around GBP 169.

Nose: Vanilla, toffee, cold coffee with milk. Dried fruits. Red berries and chocolate.

Taste: Very rich and most definitely full of body and a whole lot more. Vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom, nuts and dried fruits. Creamy - or perhaps more milky. Mixed nuts.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Some oakiness coming to the forefront now. The sweetness takes on a slightly artificial character. Green-ish - herbs and cut grass. Turns more and more green with time.

Comment: Very nice, but I felt it did not quite reach its full potential. Maybe it was just too green on the finish?

Score 87/100
