This is a single cask release in the Cask Collection series from independent bottler A.D. Rattray. The Glenburgie 2008 11 YO was distilled on 2008-09-13, matured in a bourbon hogshead (cask #800355), and bottled on 2020-02-03. The outturn was 54 bottles, as this is a partial cask only - bottled exclusively for Norway. The remainder of the cask was probably bottled exclusively for other markets or customers.

The Glenburgie 2008 11 YO (A.D. Rattray) goes on sale in Norway June 4 at NOK 999 (1751301).

Nose: Richly sweet, sweetly rich. Fruit drops, icing sugar, marshmallows, tropical fruits and vanilla. This is a veritable candy store. A touch of waxy fruitiness in the back.

Taste: Rich and full bodied. A soft spiciness arrives first, followed by the same deep, rich, fruity sweetness as I found on the nose.

Finish: Medium long finish. Continues as it started, but it does take on light green notes towards the end.

Comment: A fine, young Glenburgie.
