OK, I had one more Famous Grouse expression to review. Here is the Famous Grouse Winter Reserve. Maybe a bit early for winter vibes, but remember - winter is coming.

This is a limited edition that was released late 2018. There is no info on the official Famous Grouse site on this expression.

You can buy the Famous Grouse Winter Reserve in Norway at NOK 430 (10656901), in Sweden at SEK 299 (8298501), and in the UK at around GBP 35. Note that in the UK they sell a 100 cl bottle, while in Norway and Sweden the bottle size is 70 cl.

Nose: Vanilla, caramel and dried fruits. Soft notes of cinnamon and toasted oak. Pleasant and nice. Fried bananas with caramelized sugar.

Taste: Medium to slim body. Rather sweet with a fair amount of spices up front. Mellows out quickly and I'm left with shortbread, banana cake, cinnamon and ginger.

Finish: Medium long finish. Malt drops, warm oak and herbal notes towards the end.
