Compass Box Hedonism Blended Grain Scotch Whisky

Compass Box Hedonism Blended Grain Scotch Whisky, NAS, 43 %

The Compass Box Hedonism Blended Grain Scotch Whisky was the first whisky created by Compass Box back in the year 2000.

The composition of Hedonism varies from batch to batch, depending on what grain whisky is available to Compass Box. This particular release I have tasted is from 2018 (batch MMXVIII-C) and includes grain whisky from Invergordon, (34.7 %) Port Dundas (27.8 %), Cameronbridge (21.2 %) and North British (16.4 %). The latest 2020 release is composed of grain whisky from only North British and Cameronbridge.

You can buy the Compass Box Hedonism Blended Grain Scotch Whisky in Norway starting August 27 at NOK 1130 (1686401).

Nose: Sugary sweet, with vanilla, ginger and cinnamon. Hints of petroleum and grapefruit as well. With time I also get strawberries.

Taste: Oily and medium body. Lots of oiliness in fact. Orchard fruits and red berries.

Finish: Medium long finish. Continues much the same as it started. Added notes of artificial sweetener and bubblegum in the end.

Comment: A fun and highly drinkable whisky.
