An official bottling from Chichibu Distillery, Japan. The Chichibu 2010 3 YO Single Cask - The Floor Malted was distilled 2010, matured in a single bourbon barrel (cask#654), and bottled 2013.

Nose: The clean, fruity and malty Chiochibu spirit meets a fine bourbon barrel with creamy vanilla and tropical fruits. Hints of strawberries.

Taste: Full bodied and rich. Vanilla, fizzy ginger and assorted fruits. In fact I get a distinct mango vibe here.

Finish: Medium long finish. Creamy vanilla. Sweet, tropical fruits.

Comment: Yup, it apparently does not take long in a barrel to make great whisky at Chichibu.
