This is a new release from independent bottler North Star Spirits. The Caol Ila 2009 11 YO North Star Spirits was distilled in September 2009, matured in a single 1st fill Oloroso sherry butt, which yielded 410 bottles. It was bottled October 2020.

The Caol Ila 2009 11 YO North Star Spirits is released for sale in Norway on May 31 at NOK 1095 (13173301).

Nose: Smoked bacon! Smoked sausages! Raw and on the grill. Dark chocolate. Vanilla. Some fruits hiding scared in the background - afraid to get burned. Softly maritime and medicinal. With time mild citrus notes as well.

Taste: Full bodied. Spicy, peppery, rich, fiery, salty, feisty, fruity, sugary, smoky, peaty, bacon-y, chocolate-y. Yay-y!

Finish: Medium long finish. More of the same, thankfully! It does dry up a little. Also softly green now - cut grass and herbs.
