Bottled June 6, 2022, having spent 12 years in ex-sherry casks. This is an unpeated Bunnahabhain single malt whisky.

Nose: Dried yet juicy fruits dominate. Raisins, figs and apricot leading the way. Dark caramel weaves through floral notes, while nuts and a burst of citrus emerge with time.

Taste: Very rich and full bodied. The dried fruits command attention, supported by cinnamon, earthy vanilla and almond-caramel pudding. A faint whiff of bicycle repair kit in the background.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Dried fruits and exotic spices linger, joined by tropical tones of grapefruit and honeydew melon. Orange zest, mint and toasted oak close the experience.

Comment: Sumptuous and elegant.
