Bivrost Asgard Arctic Single Malt Whisky

Bivrost Asgard Arctic Single Malt Whisky, 3 YO, 46 %

This is the fifth release from Aurora Spirit in their Nine Worlds of Norse Mythology Series.

The official product page contains the following info and more:

“DISTILLED: Triple distilled in 2018, with two active plates  in our copper pot/column still. Average distillation time ranges between 8 – 10 hours, average strength heart collected of undiluted new make is around ~75%abv.

CASK HANDLING: Asgard is matured in predominantly 200 l. Heaven Hill Bourbon casks and 228 l. French, sweet wine, Muscat casks.”

Nose: Sweet, fruity and immediate on the nose. Vanilla and orchard fruits. Dry and warm. With time malt, dried fruits and some oaky spiciness.

Taste: Medium to light body. Nice and interesting spice profile - cinnamon, ginger and white pepper to the forefront - but more exotic, unidentifiable spices in the background. Exotic.

Finish: Medium long finish. More of the same. Then darker notes of dried fruits, leather and herbal honey. Green herbs on the finish line.

Comment: Looking forward to the next mythological world from Bivrost!
