Distilled 2018, matured in a single 1st fill ex-bourbon barrel (cask #1011), and bottled 2023. Limited to 253 bottles. You might wonder at the 3 YO age statement and the distilled 2018 and bottled 2023. This is due to the fact that the spirit was transported (and for a period stored) in a non-wooden vessel, when moved from Japan to Scotland. This whisky is peated to about 40-50 ppm.

Nose: Embodies a rich, warm wood smoke essence, complemented by sweet vanilla and the fresh, crisp notes of orchard fruits.

Taste: Full-bodied, presenting a dynamic contrast of black and white pepper against a backdrop of barbecue, smoked meat, and pervasive wood smoke.

Finish: Medium in duration, continuing the theme of rich smokiness intertwined with a robust, meaty character.

Comment: Smokily sumptuous.
