Aberlour A'bunadh Batch #58, NAS, 61.1 %

Matured in Oloroso sherry butts as usual for this series. Bottled and released in 2016.

Nose: Not as sweet as anticipated, but this is a dessert whisky. No doubts about that. Dried fruits - check. Red berries - check. Homemade caramel pudding with rich caramel sauce - check. Warm, welcoming and comforting.

Taste: Very full-bodied - I would almost say overweight. This is a sherry bomb, as expected. Full on flavor. Maybe not all that complex, but what it does - it does very well. Much the same associations as I got on the nose. 

Finish: Medium long finish. Does fade out and turn a bit .. hmm - maybe not boring - but less rich. Dried fruits and luscious toffee sauce. 

Comment: You know what you get with the A'bunadh, and that is a good thing.
