This release from Cadenhead was distilled at an undisclosed distillery. Online rumour (which we should not listen to, right?) does point to Glenfarclas as a likely source, but try it and judge for yourself. It has been matured in 100 % ex-bourbon casks.

This single malt whisky is available to buy at NOK 1050 (15160201).

Nose: Freshly cut apples and pears, as well as juicy strawberries - all served with a tiny splash of lemon. Rich malt and creamy vanilla with time. Hints of green herbs?

Taste: Medium to rich body. Love the complex fruitiness here - assorted apples and pears again. Light top notes of lemon and orange zest. Some oakiness.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Cool notes of orange. White pepper and wet oak staves. Almond milk and unsalted peanuts. Milk chocolate and marzipan in the end.

Comment: Lean back and do the rockaway.
