This is an independent bottling from Murray McDavid, in their Mission Gold series. The Tobermory 1994 24 YO cask #20 was initially matured in a bourbon hogshead, then finished in a Caribbean rum cask.

Nose: Candy store and artisan bakery side by side, with a wine shop across the street. Mellow notes of banana leaves. Demerara sugar, earthy vanilla and dried fruits. With time also cinnamon and ginger.

Taste: Rich and full bodied. Sugary sweet. White pepper, barbecued banana. Vanilla, milk chocolate and hints of rhubarb.

Finish: Medium long finish. Greener now - tomato plant and green herbs. Remains sugary sweet.

Comment: A very fine Tobermory!
