Tobermory 1994 18 YO Adelphi SelectionToday we present a single cask release from independent bottler Adelphi. The Tobermory 1994 18 YO Adelphi Selection was distilled in 1994, matured in a sherry butt (cask #675031), and bottled in 2013. The total outturn was 604 bottles.

This whisky is available to buy in Norway at NOK 1306 (item number 773001). It is not currently available in Sweden.

Nose (21/25): Salty and oily - a bit "dirty", engine oil maybe? Caramel, sherry notes, dried fruit - figs and dates. There is something here that certainly does bring me back to the harbor in Tobermory, right outside the distillery.

Taste (21/25): Sugar, pepper, caramel, and ginger. A full and rich mouthfeel. Slightly oily and salty, the Tobermory harbor is present here as well.

Finish (22/25): Mild and rich. A very nice and mellow sweetness. It settles into a very comforting rhythm.

Balance (21/25): A very nice dram, which I image should best be enjoyed on the pier in Tobermory harbour on a sunny afternoon.

Score (85/100)
