Nose: Green in character, with medium smokiness. Wood smoke mingles with vanilla and malt, giving a relatively soft opening.

Taste: Full bodied. Full-on peat and smoke, backed by pepper and chilli. A hint of perfume and herbs adds a somewhat unusual edge for a Springbank, while the green notes from the nose persist.

Finish: Medium long and noticeably drier now. Coal, soot and wood smoke dominate, joined by sugar cubes and a softly herbal note.

Comment: Green, smoky and boldly spicy.
