SMWS 138.20 Lust for custard, 7 YO, 55.5%

This whisky hails from Nantou Distillery in Taiwan. It was distilled 2015-08-06, matured in a single 1st fill ex-bourbon barrel, and when bottled resulted in 171 bottles.

Nose: Fruity and fresh with a distinctly white wine-like brightness. Pineapple, lemon zest and assorted tropical fruits lead, followed by deeper waves of tropical sweetness, a pinch of salt and soft honey cake.

Taste: Full bodied. A burst of juicy tropical fruits washes over the palate. Lemon zest and pineapple dominate, joined by creamy banana split tones.

Finish: Medium to long. More of the same vibrant tropical fruitiness. Big, fresh and wonderfully alive.

Comment: Pure tropical joy.
