Distilled and matured at Rock Town Distillery in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA. This is a vintage 2016, bottled 2021, matured in a single bourbon barrel (cask #508). It was bottled på independent bottler Berry Bros & Rudd (BBR).

The Rock Town 2016 4 YO Straight Arkansas Bourbon Whiskey is a so-called wheated bourbon, made with a mashbill of corn, malted barley and wheat.

I have actually reviewed one other bourbon from Rock Town Distillery previously; back in 2016 I reviewed the SMWS B3.2 Ooey-gooey cinnamon bun (see review).

The Rock Town 2016 4 YO Straight Arkansas Bourbon Whiskey goes on sale in Norway on July 7 at NOK 2000 (13214101).

Nose: Banana bread, chocolate and toasted oak. Coffee and cocoa nibs. Creamy vanilla. With time the chocolate gets warmer and darker. Soft spices and floral notes. Cut grass and bread crust. Strawberries in the background.

Taste: Full bodied and rich in flavor. Banana and dark chocolate again. Creamy vanilla. Hints of perfume and floral notes. Cocoa nibs and sweet cold-brewed coffee.

Finish: Medium long finish. More honey, ginger and cinnamon now. Still softly perfumed. But first and foremost I get toasted oak and chocolate with a hint of banana.

Comment: Amazing dram that has me equally bewildered and delighted.
