Port Charlotte 2007 8 YO CC:01

Port Charlotte 2007 8 YO CC:01, 57.8 %

Here’s a release from 2016. You will find this info on the official product page:

“This fascinating spirit has been matured full term in casks of finest French oak (Quercus Robur). They previously held one of the greatest Eau de Vie, from the western Cognac region.”

Nose: Barbecue, meat and sea salt. On the lighter side we also have chocolate, vanilla, and orchard fruits. With time also dried fruits and earthy cinnamon.

Taste: Full bodied. Sugary sweet and again quite fruity. Barbecue and wood smoke. Toasted oak. Earthy vanilla and cinnamon.

Finish: Medium long finish. More of the same, thankfully. Also a tingling fizziness. Ginger flavored chewing gum in the end.

Comment: I really enjoy this Cask Exploration Series.

Score 88/100
