Port Askaig is an Islay single malt from an undisclosed distillery. It is a brand owned by Speciality Drinks Ltd. The Port Askaig 16 YO has been matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks.

You can purchase the Port Askaig 16 YO at around GBP 80. It is not currently available in Norway or Sweden.

Nose: Strawberry fields on fire. A medicinal depot down the beach is also ablaze. Thankfully the bakery, serving fresh bread and vanilla and chocolate flavored donuts, is safe and sound.

Taste: Rich and soft mouthfeel. Milk chocolate, vanilla, ashes, wood smoke, iodine and a hint of mint and summer fruits.

Finish: Medium long finish. Mainly milk chocolate, mint and a sprinkling of ashes now.

Comments: A charming dram with medium peat impact. Refreshing! Can I have ice cream with this one?
